The Rose Parade, also known as the Tournament of Roses, is an annual Southern California tradition since 1890. Nationally televised the parade includes flower-covered floats, marching bands, and equestrian units, and is watched by millions of people. Thousands of people flock to Pasadena to see the parade up close and in person. Weeks before the parade itself, guests are invited to see how the floats are constructed, and volunteers help with the designs. The Rose Parade is followed the by annual Rose Bowl game. The Parade has followed the same route through Pasadena along Colorado Blvd for decades.
